Happy Thanksgiving week, although it is hard to believe it is already here! The students did such a good job presenting their animal research projects to their buddies on Friday. I think it was a strong start for our first project-based learning work, and they were quite proud of what they accomplished!
This week we will review our learning in the Wonders Reading Program. There will not be a spelling list this week. We will wrap up our work with subtraction strategies, and we may have a chance to complete our math assessment. I want to ensure the students have a solid understanding of such an important concept before we move forward. We will also have a lot of fun this week creating and writing about our disguised turkeys, reflecting on what we are thankful for, and completing a 2D to 3D Turkey STEAM challenge. I want to take a moment during this special holiday to thank you for sharing your children with me this year. They are a dynamic, bright, and spirited group of children. I look forward to everyday I spend with them, and feel lucky to guide their learning this year. Thank you for all of your encouragement and support of our classroom, you truly make the difference!
